Found myself musing on how many characters/actors DIDN'T show up, and how they cleverly covered their absence with references.

Amusingly, this is set three years past their "flash forward" (to 2017) final season.

I found it cute for what they were able to accomplish... but still found it sad, especially when now even all commercials in-between seem to be Covid-related.

Probably won't revisit this particular special anytime soon... as I told my wife, no one will likely be nostalgic for anything from 2020!

(Except maybe, I don't know, January.)

The song got me emotional as well but not because of the song itself (which I do like)  but rather because I know how much that moment of Ron getting the group together to chat & sing meant to Leslie and it hit me in just the right way.

I did tell my best friend (a fellow P&R fan) that my only three requests were appearances by Perd, Jean-Ralphio and a "stone-cold drunk" Joan Callamezzo.  Maybe Joan was only a little tipsy, but I was not disappointed in that regard!

(My long shot hope:  A 5-second cameo from Mark Brendanawicz, chiming-in late at the very end, with everyone wondering out loud, "Mark who?"  Cue credits!  Oh well, still too much bad blood there, I guess.)

I loved it.  They got in nearly everyone that they could conceivably fit in during a 24 minute episode and yet it didn't feel like a cram.  It felt real and funny and highly emotional.  Just what I wanted from a series I never thought we'd ever see again.  So many fun, amazing references and call backs.  Just pitch perfect.

Honestly?  They could do this with any workplace comedy.  Who wouldn't love to see them revisit THE OFFICE for an episode, not only to catch up with our favorites but to see how they're living and dealing with life in a Covid world.  Sign me up!

Found an online review (which I shall not bother to link) that didn't like the show, and took that o-so-annoying condescending attitude to lecture the rest of us on our foolishness.

I wish more self appointed "reviewers" would learn that having an opinion is not always the same as being right.
