I would hazard a guess there are some other forum regulars who are excited to see it come back in time for the end of the world?

I probably could/should have been clearer in my original post - so please forgive me for giving this one more shot:

Statement: I am a huge fan of Rick and Morty.  I love the writing - some episodes have left me stunned by how well constructed they are (an example of this from this season is the heist episode).

Question: Is there anyone else on the forum who is a fan?

Suggestion: If you are not familiar with the show, give it a shot!

Thanks!  I will now hold my peace on the topic and resume lurker status.

I've been a fan from the get-go. I believe a new episode is
dropping soon (oboyoboyoboyoboyoboy).

I've watched several episodes of this series, but I still can't get into it. It's not a terrible show and it does have some funny moments in it, but I'm just not a huge fan of the series. I prefer Final Space.

I'm curious:  For fans of the show, how would you describe it to the novice?

I may or may not finally give it a look-see, while under quoronatine, but I admit I haven't really given any modern animated series a go for maybe the past 10-15 years... I kind of gave up on "adult" animated shows after FAMILY GUY.

Hey Shaun - here's what I would say:

First off: It's funny. Like the mid 90s Simpsons. If you liked the classic Simpsons episode where they went to Itchy and Scratchy Island - then you'll think it's funny.

The premise is like Doctor Who meets Back to the Future - (Rick and Morty were born out of a parody of "Doc and Morty" from Back to the Future).

But I think the Doctor Who comparison is more apt - Rick is like the Doctor in that he's a brilliant scientist who takes Morty with him on "adventures".

But the brilliance of the show - and the beauty ? - is the philosophical question of "If you're the smartest guy in the universe and you know that nothing really matters cuz there are infinite universes out there what is the point of feeling close to other humans. Nothing matters and you (Rick) are the only person who understands this - but it means you can't feel true happiness".

Honestly, the show is deep - give it time.
