Still on my Babylon 5 marathon. Finished season one
yesterday, started season 2 today.
Still jarring whenever I get to this, the loss of Sinclair
and the introduction of Sheridan takes a time to get used
to, but I then grow to like Sheridan and all's right with
the world.

SCTV - dated in the sense that it makes SO MANY topical references, but it's
important to note that it is still laugh out loud funny. I tried some classic SNL
episodes a few weeks ago, and while you have to accept there will be topical
references, the shows were just not as strong as I recalled.

SCTV is even better than I remember. I think it has a lot to do with how the
show exists in its own world - while they are know for dead-on impersonations
and parodies, the backbone of the show is the behind the scenes of the TV
station. And it is pure gold, led by SCTV owner Guy Caballero (Joe Flaherty)
and station manager Edith Prickley (Andrea Martin).

I started with the American broadcasts, and they definitely benefitted from the
show starting in Canada prior to the US.

So much good stuff - I am especially impressed with how they integrated the
musical guests into sketches. In particular "The Fishin' Musician" with Gil
Fisher (John Candy), in which he takes that week's musical guest on a fishing
trips. The one with rock band The Tubes was hilarious - they went fishing in
their 1980s stage outfits.

And of course Bob & Doug - Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas are wonderful in
the initial sketches. You can see how this took off, eh?

So many other great sketches. It's so awesome that Eugene Levy is so well
known now - he didn't break out immediately after the show, and yet he is
incredibly strong as Sid Dithers, Earl Camambert, Mel (from "Mel's Rock Pile")
and one half of the Schmenge Brothers.

Netflix has 4 seasons of the original Twilight Zone and I
haven't seen these in decades. They have been like brand
new to me.

Several years ago, I binged the first season and most of the second of Mission: Impossible. If its still on there, I may eventually go back and watch the rest.

Just finished SILICON VALLEY. Pretty cool show!

Not sure if I'm gonna finish COMMUNITY or not. I'm on the last season and I don't think I'm really feeling it anymore.

Just recently started THE ORVILLE, 11.22.63 and UPLOAD.

Re-watching the first season of THE NEWSROOM on Amazon Prime.

I still find it enjoyable to watch, even though the show had a relatively short lifespan.

UPLOAD on Amazon staring my longtime crush, Andy Allo.

It’s ‘The Good Place’ meets ‘The Matrix’.

My GF and I binged the first season in two days.  We both loved it. Funny and thoughtful with some clever takes on life in the near future.
