Don't know if anyone else watches, but that season finale was hard to watch,
for a multitude of reasons.
The last scene, though? ABOUT
DAMN TIME! :p

To me, that last scene felt like a mistake along the lines of giving the fans what they think they want.

Shame about Dr Melendez; he was one of the better characters.

Great, hard-hitting season finale. It could have served as a series finale, really. But it's been renewed for a fourth season. So, we'll see how it plays out. For some reason, Spock's classic "after a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting" line jumped immediately to mind; perhaps for all the reasons that have been discussed over the season(s) prior to these developments.

The two part finale was among the best episodes of the whole series. I have to agree, though, that the last scene was troubling. She is pretty but she's shallow, narcissistic, impatient and ditzy. As she told him, she's not going to change and his autism isn't going to change. The romance doesn't seem built to last and the soap operatics of Sean's personal love life are for me one of the less interesting aspects of the show. With at least three doctors in danger of either leaving or having their roles drastically changed, the show seems to be headed for uncharted waters.
