What's interesting about Lara Parker is that she later went on to write some Dark Shadows novels, and the first was Angelique's backstory/origin. I guess if anyone other than Dan Curtis was a perfect choice for that, it was her.

I just finished watching the entire series. It turned up for free on UK Amazon Prime and as I had heard of the show from friends in the US, I decided to give it a go. Completely bonkers but great fun. Dark Shadows reminded me a lot of classic Doctor Who - lots of imagination but no budget. I'm only sorry the show isn't more widely known here in the UK, I really wish it had been shown over here back in the day. Still, better late than never.

I'm at the front end of the 'Eve' story line.

If you've never read the Dark Shadows novels, they're
being reissued starting this month. Also, the audio
books (including those by Lara Parker) are available and
not expensive.

Still early here. In the middle of the Phoenix storyline but the show is getting more and more compelling. Roger makes me laugh with his quips. Disappointed that David is less of a monster, he was fun as a psycho boy who tried to kill his dad.

I can't quite remember how deep I got into the series. Count Petofi was the main villain there may have been a parallel universe.

John Karlen, who played Barnabas' Renfield, Willie Loomis, died yesterday at age 86.
