I'm just not brave enough to pull the trigger on the Titans.

Saturday, 1/4
  • Bills (5th seed) at Texans (4th seed) - I need a home team 'cause I can't pick all road teams!
  • Titans (6th seed) at Patriots (3rd seed) - I'll do it.  I think the Pats are due for a Wild Card defeat!
Sunday, 1/5
  • Vikings (6th seed) at Saints (3rd seed) - If not us, why not us?  SKOL VIKINGS!!!
  • Seahawks (5th seed) at Eagles (3rd seed) - Both teams are banged up.  Ruined and ravaged by the season.  Seeding doesn't matter.  I just think the Chickens have a little more juice than the Eagles.

Saturday, 1/4
  • Bills (5th seed) at Texans (4th seed) - Toughest pick for me.  Bills' D is real and Josh Allen is better this year but JJ Watt's  return is the x-factor for the Texans' 29th rated pass D.  Allen has never been in the playoffs so I'm rollng with DeShaun Watson and a Texas D I hope bends without breaking with Watt's help.
  • Titans (6th seed) at Patriots (3rd seed) - 6 of 7 JBFers pick the Titans (winners of 5 of 7 including KC and last week's road thrashing of the Texans).  The ice cold Pats have lost 4 of 6 including last week's embarrassing home L to Miami.  I don't care, bitches!  Brady may not get ring #7 in 2020 but he sneaks thru the wildcard.
Sunday, 1/5
  • Vikings (6th seed) at Saints (3rd seed) - NO feels like one of the stronger teams not to get a first round bye in a while.
  • Seahawks (5th seed) at Eagles (3rd seed) - Philly's at home and I know Seattle's hurting but I'm surprised they're the slight favorite... Seahawks seem the clear pick.

I'm picking the Titans over the Patriots because I think New England will have problems containing Tennessee's running game. Derrick Henry won't exactly set any records against the Patriots, but he will give them some trouble. That, plus Brady had some trouble last week, throwing a pick six.

Bills
Titans

Saints
Eagles - this is my only pick with comment. Yes, I will freely admit to being a homer in this pick, but I truly feel that this is Wentz's opportunity to show the league the kind of leader that he really is. The Eagles thrive in this atmosphere.

Marc, the Seahawks-Eagles game is the only one I flip-flopped over before making a decision. But I went with the Seahawks because I think Wentz is still a bit unproven. If Foles was under center instead of with the Jags, I'd probably (but not definitely) have went with the Eagles.

And I'm sorely tempted to change my pick for the Bills-Texans game with J.J. Watt playing. But I'm not going to.

If the Patriots survive and beat the Titans, they're toast if (when) they run into the Ravens.
