I don't really have any time for Ghostbusters beyond the original -- and even then, it's more about the memories of that film from three and half decades ago. It's not a film I feel the need to revisit. Didn't like the cartoon. Didn't like the sequel. Didn't watch the reboot. And I won't be seeking out this.

I've watched the original multitudes of times and can still get some enjoyment from it.
The second movie, not so much so. Seems tired.
Don't think I ever made it thru a full cartoon episode.
The reboot has it's moments, but tries too hard to make every second the next big laugh.

This trailer is tugging at me, playing hard towards my nostalgia factor.

If there's no sign of Paul Feig's fingerprints anywhere on this, I may go see it.

Based on this trailer, they try to go with a serious
story with fun-ny moments in it... kinda like the first
one, and definitively away from the reboot, which was
more of a SNL comedy movie.
Don't get me wrong, I like ( yes I like! ) the reboot,
but this is another take on the franchise, like a
parallel universe.

A lot of the original cast is in it...  Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Ernie Hudson!  Even Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts!  I'll assume cameos though, but still cool

Anyway, who's the grandfather?  Egon?

I can kind of see why two of the stars are kids. It's a way of protecting the movie from criticisms of abandoning the previous all-female cast. I have not seen Ghostbusters "2016" and hold no opinion about it. It's a shame that movies are so politicized these days.

I like the original, but I can't stand the sequel - so many
great ideas, but just not funny.

I'm a fan the McCarthy/Wiig reboot and wish they would have
continued with that universe. That's probably clouding my
appreciation for this trailer - I feel nothing seeing this.

I'll take the opposite bent.  This looks really good.  Preface: Fan of the original, hated the sequel, enjoyed the reboot.  But this looks completely different while still obviously rooted in the original characters and their world.  It has the feeling of the recent JUMANJI (kids in a strange land learning to adapt) while offering a touchstone to those of us who hold the original close to our hearts.

The main criticism of the trailer has been the lack of humor, but I take that as a good sign.  This trailer is trying to sell the story, not front load the humor.  That it feels like it's got more depth and heart than a throwaway comedy cashing in on an IP makes me take it more seriously.

I'm in.

I love the original.
I hated the sequel, it being a film I just sat there, slumped in my seat, mumbling insults at (don't so it, don't do it, aw man, you went and did it (The Statue of Liberty)).
I didn't watch the reboot or the cartoon (although I keep thinking I should have since JMS wrote episodes of that).

This looks at least interesting, so I wait to see more before making a final decision.

I loved the original Ghostbusters movie. So much so
I never saw the sequel. I figured the first one was
so good they would do nothing but screw up a
sequel. I never watched the cartoons. I had
negative interest in seeing the reboot. Having said
all that, this trailer has me hooked. I'm giving up
my moratorium on Ghostbusters. I hope I'm not
disappointed.
