Well, when we watch "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" this month with the kids, my wife and I are probably going to be a mess within the first 5 minutes.

This one's really got me choked-up.  Spinney truly was the heart & soul of "Sesame Street," for all these long years.

RIP

Sad to hear for sure. Big Bird wasn't my favorite, Oscar was, so this hits pretty hard.

I was WAY too old for SESAME STREET, but I did appreciate the achievement.

Being the same age as the show, this one hits home.

Jerome The Giraffe from Canada's Friendly Giant show died only a few months before (Rod Coneybeare).

I liked Oscar more too, but the Big Bird giant puppet was quiet a technical piece of art!

I didn't get to meet Spinney on the con circuit but I
was able to add this to my collection a couple years
back (thanks Paul!)

SESAME STREET was a huge impact on my youth. RIP.
