Oh Craig, the 80's was THE era for me!! I had been sort of collecting comics since I was 9 in 1980, but my collecting really went into high gear at that point.
THE comic that got me into buying on a monthly basis was DC COMICS PRESENTS #26 - solely because of the NEW TEEN TITANS preview insert. I had read a very few TEEN TITANS comics before that, but loved the whole sidekicks forming a "club" of their own concept. When I saw house-advertisement for the NEW Teen Titans preview in DCCP #26, I knew I had to have it. I haven't looked back since.
The 80's was not only "my" era, it was also filled with some modern classics:
JB's Fantastic Four JB's Alpha Flight Wolfman and Perez's New Teen Titans Levitz and Giffen's Legion of Super-Heroes Miller's Daredevil Simonson's Thor Clarement and Smith's Uncanny X-Men JB's Superman titles Perez's Wonder Woman ... I just KNOW I am forgetting some, but you remember, you were there!
