Sad to read this. I think I first became aware of his work from his Warlock series in the 90s. I was one of the (few?) people to write to Marvel to save the series, and have a signed print from Tom for doing that. Wish I could have met him person, he sounded like a great person.

Damn!

There are certain people you meet and you just get along well together. Tom was one of those guys! We met in April 2017 during the Calgary Expo and Tom and some others were kind enough to join me on a tribute panel. There was so much laughter and camaraderie during those 45 minutes together, it makes me wonder what the audience thought of us. Thank you! Tom.

He was very nice when I talked to him at cons. And I love his art style.

There is a GoFundMe page to help his wife with expenses
if anyone is interested in doing so.

Until I read that page, I didn't realise Tom had suffered an aneurysm and spent his last 8 weeks in a coma. That is doubly tragic.

I'll make sure I donate.

I've interacted with him many times, over the years and
had the pleasure of sitting right beside him, for a con,
a few years back. Very nice guy, influential artist in
the 90's and dedicated teacher, who was loved by his
students.
