It's being reported that comic artist Tom Lyle, who worked on Robin and Spider-Man in the 90's before moving on to teaching at SCAD, has passed away. He was 66. He had an aneurism two months ago and has been in a coma ever since.
I only met him a couple times at cons but he was an outgoing guy, a lot of fun to chat with for sure and I always enjoyed his art. I only have one sketch from him, a Shocker sketch he did in my villain sketchbook.
Below is the Newsarama article about his passing: https://www.newsarama.com/47924-tom-lyle-dies.html

Sad news. 66 is no age.
The work Tom Lyle did with Roger Stern on Starman was a great antidote to the grim and gritty books of the day.
Like his Batman, The Comet and Robin works as well.

I quite enjoyed his Starman and Comet too. In fact, I rather hoped that Mr. Stern's Starman and Atom could be the basis of a new Justice Society. It's a shame it didn't happen.
