With my Thursday pick I go into the weekend up 2 on Matt for the season.  Now to cling to my teeny lead.

Sunday, 11/10

  • Lions at Bears - Could be wild.  Division games often are; see Thursday night's box score.
  • Ravens at Bengals - It's like BOTH teams are getting another bye week!  Bengals trying a new QB - and getting the same result.
  • Bills at Browns
  • Falcons at Saints
  • Giants at Jets - My Potential Tie Pick, 20-20 with 2 missed FGs in OT
  • Cardinals at Buccaneers - But ya never know...
  • Chiefs at Titans - Matt Moore can win for this team.
  • Dolphins at Colts - Colts bounce back
  • Panthers at Packers - Packers bounce back decisively.  They win by three TDs.
  • Rams at Steelers - Steelers just don't have it.  Home field will help some.
  • Vikings at Cowboys - Both teams need to make a statement win.

Monday, 11/11

  • Seahawks at 49ers - Holy crap this could be stupid good.  One of those notorious "Playoff implication" games.  I kinda want Seattle to win just because I hate winless and undefeated teams.

Over to you, Matt!

Bye: Broncos, Eagles, Jaguars,Patriots, Redskins, Texans

Sunday, 11/10

  • Lions at Bears - Said I wouldn't pick the Bears again if they lost last week.  They did.  Horribly.
  • Ravens at Bengals
  • Bills at Browns
  • Falcons at Saints
  • Giants at Jets - The Jets are in total disarray.  Not just on the field, but behind the scenes.  Ugly.
  • Cardinals at Buccaneers - HAGERMAN DISAGREES!!  Don't know why I'm disagreeing here except that I want an odd number v Hagerman.
  • Chiefs at Titans - Mahomes returning.  Moore has played well enough that I might consider resting him another week, but what do I know.
  • Dolphins at Colts
  • Panthers at Packers - But I hope not!
  • Rams at Steelers
  • Vikings at Cowboys - HAGERMAN DISAGREES!!  If the Vikes are going to make a push and really challenge this season, these are the kinds of games we're going to have to win.

Monday, 11/11

  • Seahawks at 49ers
Three total disagrees and I'm already one down.  Grrrr....

Sunday, 11/10

  • Lions at Bears Bears have lost four straight but Soldier Field in November against a hated rival is sometimes enough.
  • Ravens at Bengals
  • Bills at Browns Can someone explain why 2-6 four straight loss overhyped Cleve is favored over 6-2 underhyped Buffalo?
  • Falcons at Saints Brees
  • Giants at Jets - Battle of the bastard defenses
  • Cardinals at Buccaneers TB has only scored 22 less than their opponents so probabilities should bend them like Beckham back towards the statistical mean.  Or not.
  • Chiefs at Titans
  • Dolphins at Colts
  • Panthers at Packers
  • Rams at Steelers
  • Vikings at Cowboys I keep voting Cousins but this is close.

Monday, 11/11

  • Seahawks at 49ers Upset spoils SF's chance to really separate from the NFC West.

If the 49ers don't lose to the Seahawks, they'll lose to either the Packers (hope not), Ravens or Saints.

Bad calls by the coaching staff cost Dallas that game.

  • Chargers at Raiders Wrong.  Crazy but true: with KC's loss, Oak can share the AFC West lead if they beat the very bad Bengals
  • Lions at Bears Right.
  • Ravens at Bengals Right.
  • Bills at Browns Wrong.  Really unseemly game... sluggish offense, sloppy play, many missed chances.
  • Falcons at Saints Wrong.  Saints record when HOFer Brees starts:  1-2.   When Bridgewater starts:  6-0.
  • Giants at Jets Wrong.
  • Cardinals at Buccaneers Right.
  • Chiefs at Titans Wrong.   KC still has weapons but their holes have been thoroughly exposed.
  • Dolphins at Colts Wrong.
  • Panthers at Packers Right.
  • Rams at Steelers Wrong.  Pittsburgh 0-2 when Roethlisberger starts.  When 3rd round #76 rookie pick Rudolph starts:  5-2 (tight losses to strong 49ers and Ravens teams.)  With nothing but bailing wire and duct tape Mike Tomlin has them 5-4.  I know he won't win but is there a worthier coach of the year candidate?
  • Vikings at Cowboys Right.  Amari Cooper / Dak killed it early but they inexplicably went to a largely ineffective Ezekiel Elliott and predictably choked away a key home game.  Cowboys started 3-0, 2-4 since.  Hear that?  It's the crescendo of teeth gnashing / wails for Jason Garrett's departure.
A brutal 5-7 with MNF to go.

Instant MNF classic... so much back and forth... each team with their chance to put it away but Russell Wilson's clutch 21 yard late scramble was the ultimate back breaker.  6-7 on the week for me, 92-55-1 overall.

What a CRAPPY week for picks.  I personally went 4-9.  But let's celebrate the Cassandras out there:
  • Kevin Brown (Browns overBills in Cleveland)
  • Allan Summerall (Dolphins over Colts in Indianapolis)
  • BrianFloyd (Titans over Chiefs in Tennessee)
  • Doug Centers (Jets over Giants as thehome team)
  • FALCONS over Saints in New Orleans
So four fellows saw past the veil of BS that cast itself over these matchups, and one team escaped us all.  Drew Brees has a worse record than his backup!  1-2 versus 6-0!!

Anyway, nice work, gentlemen.  Here you go:
