Dear Everybuddy,

Please forgive me (and delete) if there is a thread about this already - but I am so happy to let everyone that I recently read that the 1980's SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL is being collected in a giant 1,152 page omnibus!!

This book is just chock full of Kryptonian goodness:

Action Comics 584-593
Action Comics Annual 1
Adventures of Superman 424-435
Adventures of Superman Annual 1
Legion of Super-Heroes 37-38
Superman 1-11
Superman Annual 1
Man of Steel (limited series) 1-6

This has a release date of July 2020.

Thoughts?

Marc

I'm guessing this is a "John Byrne and co." Superman omnibus, not a "John Byrne Superman" omnibus.

JB was on SUPERMAN until issue...22? 23?

Anyway, this is making me remember how much I loved JB's Titano story, his Bloodsport story, and "Metropolis 900 Miles."

Those are all still in my long boxes, underneath other long boxes, underneath...

With what’s included, looks like a Vol 2 may be in the works.

Yep. And the added bonus is that the end of volume two will marry up nicely with Superman In Exile Omnibus, which is the start of the post-Byrne Superman books. Hopefully the "World Of..." books are included in volume two.

Glad this is finally coming out.

JB,

There were indeed 2 trades of X-MEN: HIDDEN YEARS - however, I believe they are now out-of-print and going for big bucks on the secondary market.

I was blessed, as a JB fanatic, to have purchased them when they first came out.
