Well, looks like I will not be watching this show any more.  It's moved from Fox to Hulu.  I just found out about it, even though it was announced awhile back.  LINK

This sucks.

I was able to get the Hulu sale last year in November.  One year for 99 cents a month.  They have ads, but it is worth it, just for the entire MASH library.

I love the Orville, I know it is just Seth making his own Star Trek show, labeled a parody, but it feeds a whole that I have had for years.

I get the reason for the move. Thankfully we have free Hulu thanks to our mobile provider. Though, I have recently adopted the habit of treating streaming services similar to movie rentals.  I pick something up and immediately cancel so I'll have it for a month, and then I will switch over to something else. Always plenty to watch.

I think its a (pardon the language) shitty thing to pull off, moving a show from a free channel to a paid streaming service.

Will not be watching the show again unless it moves back to FOX or comes out on DVD (and I know someone who buys the DVDs and is willing to loan them to me).

Incidentally, Halston Sage, who played Alara, is on PRODIGAL SON now. Darn good show.

Update: Apparently season 3 (if it ever gets completed) is going to be the last one.

The season 4 cancellation rumour just seems like that, a rumour. Can't find any more about it, other than it's fake.

From what I read, its not so much that its cancelled as it is that Seth McFarlane is ready to move on and do something else.

Though I did read somewhere that it almost didn't even get a third season, despite season 2's ratings improving.

As soon as I saw it was HULU-bound I kind of wrote it off as the last season. It may be a good thing; McFarlane has probably told a fair number of the Trek stories he set out to tell and I'd rather have him go out on top creatively rather than overstaying ala TOS' at times distressing third season. We'll see.
