Here's what awaits me at the LCS this week. - CATWOMAN #15 - I'm way behind on this title, though it's one that I pick up for my son.
- AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #29 - Looking forward to this one, in that there is now an MJ perspective in the book.
- BLACK CAT #4 - I'm just one issue behind, and this is one where I've specially requested the variant cover, which is not something that I normally do.
- CAPTAIN MARVEL #10 - I'm a few issues behind on this title; given some of the recent developments, I'm glad that I didn't drop the title (which I was considering).
- ARCHIE MARRIED LIFE 10 YEARS LATER #2 - Fun title and a quick read.

Phil,
Is this issue of Captain Marvel the one featuring the mysterious new character, STAR? I ask because from the previews I have seen the new artist looks to have a lot in common, artistically, with Phil Jimenez. True?
Thanks! Marc

Detective Comics #1011- I can't say enough good things about this run.
Event Leviathan #4- I'm surprised that I like a Bendis-led event as much as I do.
Amazing Spider-Man #29- I'm hoping that we haven't jumped the shark on my enjoyment of a Nick Spencer-written book.
Doctor Strange #19- I like this book but I'm done once the next book starts.
King Thor #1- Finishing up Jason Aaron's run. I actually put together his entire run up to this point during the summer because, while it's not the Thor I prefer, it's still a pretty big epic story.

True? ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------- That's my understanding, Marc. My comic shop said something to that effect. However, I'm still sitting at issue 5, and the STAR character gets introduced in issue 8.

TREES THREE FATES #1 - the one book I'm caught up with through the wonder of the last issue coming out three years ago and me getting the original run as back issues a few months back. Looking forward to seeing how things tie together.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #29
DAREDEVIL #11
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY PRODIGAL SUN #1
INVADERS #9
KING THOR #1 - while I've cooled on the Aaron run enough to think I shouldn't have bothered to get the back half of it (whim and morbid curiosity have far too strong a hold on me), I loved the letters page in #15 with the son honoring his father's wistful notion 21 years ago to "write in 21 years later." Made the whole thing worth it to me, silly as that sounds. POWERS OF X #4
SILVER SURFER BLACK #4
GOING TO THE CHAPEL #1 - from last week; seeing if I agree with Patton Oswald's taste

Detective Comics # 1011 - I can't praise the work Peter Tomasi is doing on this series enough.

POWERS OF X #4: The pacing of this series is really strong. I feel like we're building up to another bombshell as we enter the final stretch of issues.

HIT-GIRL SEASON TWO #8 - For the Goran Parlov art. Story was pretty good too even though I'm not a fan of Daniel Way.
DETECTIVE COMICS #1011 - The better of the two Batman books. Another Hitch variant on this one which I picked up since cover A was sold out. Can't complain though as I'm a fan and it was better than the A cover by Guillem March. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #29 - Not a great issue but the ending was pretty good. Will Marvel actually go there again after what they went through to end it?
POWERS OF X #4 (OF 6) - Still enjoying this. I confess to not knowing much about Mister Sinister as he came along in the Silvestri issues when I'd lost my love of Claremont's X-Men.
