Not that there's a hope in hell of it actually happening, but someone has set up a petition to try to get José Luis García-López's DC Style Guide reprinted. I figure if there was any group of people that would like to see that, it'd be here.
BTW: Apologies if there's already a thread on this - the site search function doesn't seem to be working for me.

I'd probably buy such a book if it was printed. The art I've seen from the style guide is -- no surprise, given it's Garcia-Lopez -- byootiful.
I did sign the petition, but boy oh boy is that site pushy.

Truly a work of art.
The only reason I can think of why is DC so reluctant to reprint it is that it puts its current artists to shame.

I love his artwork on DC's characters! If they printed it, I would buy it.

DC has a long tradition of putting out expensive packages containing the real versions of stuff they have fuctup. Usually just as some new fuctup version is showing up on TV or in movie theaters. "Hey! Look how great these characters used to be! We're not doing that any more!"Reprinting the Style Guide would be a perfect for for that mentality.

Add to that the fact that it's sort of a perfect Venn diagram overlap of product and target audience - as a 48 year old who came of age on the Marvel & DC comics of the early 80s, I'd be much more likely to lay money down for this than for the majority of anything new. Which is in no way intended as a criticism of the new stuff, but just an observation that the days of weekly or even monthly trips to the store to feed the addiction are two decades in the rear view for me.

Isn't García-López's DC Style Guide uploaded online somewhere?
I don't know if DC/WB is reluctant, rather maybe they think they have produced superior, current guides in recent years... some featuring García-López's art in them!

I once saw a García-López drawing of the New 52 version of Superman.
Even HE couldn't make that awful Kryptonian-armor-whatever-it-was look any good.
Talk about a bad design. Glad it's now gone and mostly forgotten.

I wouldn't mind also seeing a modern printing of the Who's Who comics. Those suffered quite a bit from the printing technology of the time.

Empty would have been preferable. The problem was overcrowding!
