I’ve mentioned before that, at least with new movies, I have actually grown to prefer CGI over conventional animation. Sacrilege, I know, but even the very best hand drawn animation cannot keep details from “sliding around”. That doesn’t happen with compooters.

Looks like just the main five characters JB (Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, Fujiko, and Inspector Zenigata), plus 3 new ones:

Luticia, Lambert, and Geralt.

Even the new Shin Godzilla statue in Hibiya (Tokyo) is not safe from being used as promotion for the upcoming movie...

In typical fashion, Lupin The Third has announced that he plans to steal "The Treasure of Godzilla":

And Toho has posted the opening sequence (minus credits):

This would look good on the big screen and in 3D.

Okay, confusion!

This is based, I find online, on the French Arsene Lupin stories. The lead character is the grandson of that one, and appears in all his various incarnations to be Caucasian--except in a live-action movie, where he is played by a Japanese actor.

So........ What's the story?

Apparently, the grandson of Arsene Lupin is of mixed nationalities.

I should have assumed it was something that “simple”.

No worries JB.

I still scratch my head over the Tsukasa Hojo's CITY HUNTER manga & anime being adapted into the French NICKY LARSON film...

Nicky Larson Trailer

And redubbed back into CITY HUNTER - THE MOVIE, with the anime voice cast & original Japanese names...
