If she is female -in the eyes of the law- I don’t see how she CAN’T be served in any of these establishments.

One of the current arguments that transgender advocates make, which is supported by science, is that anatomy does not determine gender. The issue isn’t that she’s female or transgender. It’s that she has a penis and a scrotum, and these women don’t provide a service in dealing with those genitals. Nor should they be required to.

If "they" are gender fluid, why not go to a male-centric
salon on a day when they identify as male? If they
identify with females on certain days, surely they
should understand that they probably don`t want to
handle a stranger`s male genitals?

I consider myself on the far left, but our tolerance with medieval religions and aesthetic operations that often are closer to castration than to an actual sex change is damaging the image we are projecting to the world and giving too much ammunition to the alt right guys.

Let everyone have sex freely with anyone he/she wants, let nudism be completely legal, but please, let's use science to learn about our bodies. If science can not change your gender, we should accept our own body. If these people need help for that, we "liberals" (I live in Spain, and here "liberals" are economic liberals, i. e. conservatives) must understand this scientific approach and move on to more critical matters, such as global warming.

Let’s change “anyone” to “consenting adults” and proceed from there.

It’s time once again to understand that the form doesn’t just have two boxes on it, male and female. Transgender individuals must receive all the protections due to any citizen, but there must also be consideration of those situations in which being transgender may create unfair advantages. This would be most obviously the case in sports.

One of our female Olympic athletes (Sharon Davies) has
had death threats etc after voicing her opinion on the
unfair advantages of male to female trans athletes
competing against women. She is totally right, in my
opinion. The only solution is a trans category where
they compete against each other.

Not that simple, Bill. Transgender people do not wish to be thought of as “different”. A male who has transitioned to female wants to be thought of as female—and that’s at any point in the process.

They would not accept the kind of ghettoization you suggest.

Lots of things I wish were true. No matter how many death threats and protests and lawsuits, still doesn’t make them true. Or right.

Is it transphobia or science if a person does not see or think of a transwoman or transman as being "real" women or men?
