Bought and read the first chapter. It’s pretty good. The art is fantastic!
I’m looking forward to the next installment.

I liked it.  I'm assuming this is the origin for Miller's Superman from Dark Knight Returns.

Even if Miller's story turns out to be a work of genius I am soooo sick of DC publishing variations of Superman's origin story. I liked Mark Waid's BIRTHRIGHT a lot though I didn't want it to be the official, canonical origin (DC couldn't make up its mind if it was or if it wasn't for at least two years). I liked Geoff Johns' SUPERMAN: SECRET ORIGIN though not quite as much as I hoped I would. 

I partially liked what Grant Morrison was trying to do in the rebooted ACTION COMICS but overall I thought it was a failure, especially since it wasn't a "What If?" but stuck within the "rules" of the New 52, with the awful Jim Lee armor (!!) and Ma and Pa Kent dying in a car crash when Clark with 16 (way too morbid), etc.

Great JRjr art on this new series but I'm skipping it.

It depends on your view of Superman and how he's handled in fictional alternative reality stories. No different than a story starring Communist Superman or Superman from the future.  If it's not JRjr. and Frank Miller, I doubt I would care about this story. I liked Dark Knight Returns for what is was at the time when I read it and Superman is my favorite character right after Captain America. So the creative team and the character make it a good thing unless it goes off the rails (which I realize that it could).
