" He will cry “fake results” and “election tampering” and then call on his “people” to go to arms for him to keep him in office. Thinks about it. He was saying those things after an election he WON. It’s gonna happen."

----

I don't think that there would be a literal call to arms, but I do agree that he's not going to go out willingly. He's going to drag his ass through the court system as much as humanly possible.

Good grief, I remember when the flakey extreme right fanatics were working themselves up into a righteous lather 'knowing' Obama would never leave office. He would cook up some war and give himself lifetime powers etc. Extreme left, extreme right; same hyper-reactionary sides of the same wooden nickel.

I know they are shipping a thousand troops to the middle east to show strength to Iran, and I've written earlier that the exit wound will probably be greater than the entry wound of Trumpo getting power, but let's keep things real with the goofy crap we can prove, not spinning fantasy scenarios of Trump leading an armed revolution to stay in power!

Brian Miller: You guys are assuming that, if Trump does lose the election, he
will willingly step down.

Who are you talking to?

You and David’s comments re: if Biden wins and things could go back to Clinton/Bush politics.

There's a difference between exploring a hypothetical and assuming the hypothetical thing will happen.

Trump will not simply accept the results of losing an election.

But neither will he live forever, so there will at some point be a "next President."

If he refuses to admit defeat, whats to stop the Secret Service from removing him from the White House?

And personally, I believe refusing to leave office when you lose an election should be considered an act of treason once any legal fight is lost.

The thought of U.S. Marshalls physically dragging Trump’s fat ass out of the WH and unceremoniously tossing him onto Pennsylvania Ave. is downright arousing to me.

••

Technically, that could conflict with their duty to protect former, as well as sitting, presidents.
