The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Golden Globe winner Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) is currently in talks to join Robert Pattinson in Matt Reeves' highly-anticipated The Batman as... Commissioner James Gordon.

J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man: Far From Home) previously played the part in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Personally, I think it's time to revise the thread title.  TWILIGHT was over 10 years ago, and most folks think Pattinson is just fine as an actor.  The mocking of the casting isn't really needed.

Upthread Batman Beyond was mentioned. I recall that Batman Beyond was in development so long ago that the late Paul Newman was attached to the project as the retired Bruce Wayne.

Zoe Kravitz has been cast in the role of Selina Kyle/ Catwoman, while actor Paul Dano has joined the cast in the role of The Riddler... tho' he'll be named named Edward Nashton, not Edward Nygma in this franchise.
