I recall a movie I saw on TV when I was a child that I couldn't finish because it freaked me out too much.  Here's how I recall it:

It was a color movie, probably made in the 1950s.  There's a carnival in the countryside, featuring a vampire, but it's a skeleton half-buried in rock or cement, with a stake sticking out of it.

A hand reaches from offscreen and removes the stake.  Slightly later we see the vampire, still half-buried but now the skeleton and organs have regenerated, and are moving. That's all my 6yo self could handle.

I'm talked to a couple of other people who remember this scene, but not the movie title. A couple of incorrect suggestions from asking this question on movie boards are "Dracula, Prince of Darkness" and "House of Frankenstein" (1944).

Maybe you fine folk have a better memory than most....

Oh my gosh, Michael, I think that may be it!  It was a lot more recent film when I saw it than what I recall.  I couldn't have seen it any later than 1974, and probably earlier.

I've been trying to locate this film for literally decades!

Michael Rennie's ("The Day The Earth Stood Still") final film, apparently.
