It's no coincidence Disney stock has popped to all time highs.  I agree that the pricing is nicely designed to cast the broadest net and over time a gradual increase will meet with little resistance.

They’ve got room to pretty much double the price and still have me
believe it’s a fantastic deal. I have no doubts at all we’ll see the price
creep start in a couple of years and I’m fine with that.

Less than a year after Disney drove Comcast out go the Fox bidding process for 73 billion, I did laugh out loud at the thought that Disney+ would go for anything less than $14.99/month.

The joke was on me.

I like the price point and am curious
about anout content. Did hear a piece of
news that sent me into a rage. Apparently,
Song of the South, is off the table.
That's fine, I figured as much. What I
didn't figure on the Disney deciding to
renove the crows from DUMBO. Social
Justice has declared that they are racist
and you as well as your children, must be
saved from such depravity. As the crows
are important to the story, I'm curious
about how Dumbo will ger his lucky
feather. Also, this eliminates the song
"When I've see an elephant fly".

Before I defend the removal of the scene from Dumbo, let me say I do understand the importance of the scene to the story. It is quite central to what goes on, and I have always found enjoyment when I watched it and when I shared it with my children. That said, if I may ask, do you feel that Jim Crow and his murder are not depicting negative, black stereotypes?

"Social Justice has declared that they are racist and you as well as your children, must be saved from such depravity."

This is a pretty ignorant and tone-deaf comment. The Crow characters and similar depictions of African Americans in American culture have always been considered racist. Yes, I understand the idea of "That's how it was" back then, but that's even more reason to make sure we don't inflict the same shit on future generations.

If you think preserving Dumbo's plot is more important than what it does to African American culture, then you need to do some serious reading on the history of racism in America.

Don’t worry. Dumbo got his feather.

Disney legend Floyd Norman just blogged about the removal of the crows.

DUMBO's story construction falls flat without the scene where he gets the magic feather. I think it's best for Disney to stop showing the movie at this point.

An odd side effect of removing the crows will be that it would make it seem like Dumbo got the power of flight from the power of alcohol.

But if that sequence is cut, we wouldn't even know Dumbo CAN fly -- so it would go like this:

Dumbo gets drunk -- then he's back performing at the circus, about to jump from the flaming building and clutching a "magic feather" in a trunk... wouldn't the audience be completely confused at this point? Especially when Dumbo loses the feather and Timothy tells him he can fly without it? Wouldn't the audience be thinking, "Why the hell does Timothy think Dumbo can fly??"

Do we know if Fox programming like the Simpsons will live here? If so there is no chance I won't be in.
