In the middle of a rewatch.  Trying like hell to finish!  Every bit as fantastic the second time 'round.  Really glad I'm doing it because now that I know much more about the world of GoT than I did 8 years ago, I'm picking up on names, places and connections that I missed or had questions about when they originally aired. It's given me a great appreciation for how layered this series is.

Both looking forward to and dreading Season 8.  Dreading because it's the last!

I did the same thing about a year ago thanks to Netflix streaming and was rewarded with a tremendous amount of context and insight revealed to me, as well.  I know more than one person including my brother who got so lost with the density of characters / family relationships / events swirling in those middle seasons that they gave up.  It's a show that almost benefits from binge watching because the names and places are easier to associate when there's not weeks or months separating their spaced appearances.

I did the same thing last year. The series has had so many characters that come and go and return again, it's almost necessary to review earlier seasons to keep up. Thankfully, doing this not only is enjoyable and helps me remember things I forgot, but also spot things I missed or glossed over the first time viewing.

I'm also on a rewatch.  I had been limiting myself to only one episode per day to let things sink in.  I'm on season 7 and limiting myself to one episode every other day. I am very excited to see where the last season takes us!

Almost didn't think we'd do it, but after pounding through nearly 40 episodes in three weeks we are down to our last six. That may, upon first reading, sound like a punishment but it's actually a joy.  There's so much fun to be had revisiting this world in a way I didn't experience it first-watch.  Characters, situations, moments.  They all have greater depth the second time through now that I know how it all plays out.  This is a series I think demands a second viewing.  As great as I thought it was before, it's better the second go 'round.

I was a hold out, not watching it until it was in its third season. A friend gave me discs for the first two seasons. I took two episodes, and then I was hooked. I am looking forward to this final season more than anything in recent memory next to AVENGERS: ENDGAME.

This is just all sorts of wrong.  My all-time favorite movie.

We'll definitely rectify that when you're here in a couple weeks!

My Sunday plans are centered around this they way some people plan for a Super Bowl.

And I love football.  But THIS is better.

Way better.

Amen to that, lol.

I'm close to finishing my rewatch and will be ready for when the new episode hits on Sunday. It's been fun to rewatch the series, particularly the older seasons as it's been a few years since I've done so.

Finished the rewatch on Friday.  67 episodes in a month.  That was fun! We've been all GotG for a month  It'll be interesting to switch it up now that the binge is over.

Seeing them physically next to each other and based on other developments in the premiere, I’m starting to wonder if endgame is not Jon and Dany united against Cersei or the Night King, but Sansa vs Daenerys with Jon in the middle or out of the way altogether. There’s a bit of symmetry there with the fire-headed Northerner and the ice-haired Dragon Queen.

I'm glad to see all the Starks finally united. Can't wait for the next episode.

Jamie has gone from the irredeemable incest-loving cad and attempted murderer of an innocent child from season one to one of the more dare I say relatable characters for me in season eight.  I'm not sure how his reunion with Bran will go but I have a feeling it will be a barometer for the ability of the Starks and Lannisters to peacefully co-exist (or not).

As far as Daenery's concerns about Jaime, Bran could easily verify Jaime's story about why he killed the Mad King.  Oathbreaker or no, it's hard (from a modern perspective) to think he did the wrong thing.

He may have a harder time justifying why he pushed a 10 year old boy out a tower window.

Now that Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven, I think he’ll argue to his siblings to not to take revenge on Jaime because all this was supposed to happen.

I’m hoping Brienne is the one who defends his actions against the Mad King, since Jaime told her the entire story.

I agree with Michael about Bran. Since he is the Three-Eyed Raven, he now sees the big picture. I suspect those expecting Bran to enact some sort of revenge on Jamie will be disappointed.

Bran seems to be 'beyond' to meager concept of 'vengeance'.
But he knows what part, if any Jamie has to play in all this.  Their conversation (if they have one) should be fascinating.

I just wish they had Bran sitting in the courtyard with a ton of snow around him and his head peeking out as if he had been sitting there for years waiting for Jamie!  LOL!

I got a lump in me throat when Arya was reunited with Jon.

Yep.....and I'm not afraid to admit it.

if I had dragons I'd smile whenever they showed up over my head too. that was one of the most honest reactions to a passing event that I've ever seen.  Dany is the M-fing Mother Of Dragons!  That must make you walk an inch or two off the ground....

Bron.  Bron...Bron...Bron.  SMH.

There's one fan theory that Cersei would rather ally herself with the Night's King than give in to anyone else being in power.
