His Black Bolt’s power more destructive the louder is voice is? Less destructive with a whisper, more with a scream?

I can’t say I’ve ever thought about this. Sees like its always been played as if the slightest sound—a whisper—starts at 100%.

Don’t know much about the character but I really hope he never stubs his toe. :)

Bill, I believe a humor issue of "What If..." addressed that situation.

Has there ever been a Black Bolt story where we heard his thoughts or inner monologue?

And if not, is that something any of you would want to see? For the record, I wouldn't.

I don’t think I would, either.

Ronald, I think not. I would want Black Bolt's inner monologue about as much as I would want to know the Joker's real name.

Some character concepts are set up the right way, and shouldn't be changed. I think that's one of many things that the Inhumans TV show got wrong. I don't want Black Bolt doing ASLAN*; I want him to be interpreted by Medusa (or maybe one of the other Royal Family.)

*Don't get me wrong; I've nothing against ASLAN. But I don't think it works for a race that, quite astonishingly, speaks English. They speak English in Attillan, Latveria, Wakanda... how's an American to be made out to be a fool anymore? :)

As for Black Bolt's voice... if I can use a sloppy analogy, I believe it's similar to a button that launches a nuclear missile. It doesn't matter if a child's finger pushes the button, or if someone hits it with a sledge hammer; it has the same effect. That, of course, is purely a personal opinion, but the model works for me.

Exactly. I'd add Logan's origin to that list. There's a great mystique surrounding these characters and I don't want to see what's "behind the curtain," so to speak.

Actually...I didn't need to see Darth Vader as a child, either.

I thought there was a story where Black Bolt whispers as quietly as he can so that people throughout his kingdom hear him loud and clear as he calls them to duty.
