I'm cautiously optimistic.

 QUOTE:
This trailer is better; mainly because it does not focus on Hellboy
as much...

I have never been a fan of the HELLBOY books, but really enjoyed
BPRD when Guy Davis was drawing it.

I just finished reading ALL the Hellboy stories last weekend. Read like that, they were quite enjoyable. Id not read a Hellboy book in years.

Trailers look terrible. And the two existent Hellboy movies are pretty good IMHO. And the Oscar winning director that made them explicitly said he'd be on board for a third one for years.

But alas, mediocre reboot time. There's something in Hollywood I'll never understand...

I saw the trailer a couple of days back and from that they seem to have taken things down a really goofy and comedic route. I also thought Hellboy looked dire.

Remember all of those VOCAL comic fans online who were saying that the R rating will make this movie better? Well it appears that they were wrong.

A take of $12 million on it's opening weekend against a reported budget of $50 million. Ouch.

Looks like they should have stuck with Perlman & Del Toro.
