These guys get to the top and start doing whatever they please, no fear of god, or hate of sin. It's like a club of elites who get away with murder.
Meanwhile the Pope is putting out monthly statements on morality ... the guy needs to be laughed at and the drug into the streets and let everyone throw fruits at him yelling "shame"

It's not a Pope problem. It's not a Catholic problem. It's an organized religion problem.

Sex is THE biggest motivator to do wrong. It's a drug you are born with. And if it gets this bad in the churches, how much worse is it in Hollywood, political circles, and just general places it is considered recreation like Las Vegas, Mardi Gras.

What needs to be understood is that rape is not a sex crime, it is a crime of violence that uses sex as a weapon. The distinction is important, and the psychology is deep rooted. It is,effectively, a whole culture that needs to be put on trial.

As LAW & ORDER: SVU has often phrased it, it’s not about the sex, it’s about the power.

-- Where did this come from? I still see it listed as a sex crime. Do you mean what the psychology is? I think most cases of rape is something they want sexually and they will trick or force there way into it. Like Bill Cosby drugging a girl cause he doesn't want to waste time working for it.

Its about Power and control. Cosby is a good example of this, if he wanted sex, with his money/position/persona it wouldn't have been hard to find but consent wasn't something he was interested in. He wanted power over someone, to take it by force Imo

Exactly. If someone is beaten to death with a baseball bat, we do not call it a “baseball crime”. “Sex crime” is the legal term for rape, but the reality is far more complex.

Paul K. - "Most of the cases I've heard of involve children."Are you referring to those pedophilia cases and being ironic? I cannot tell, and this isn't exactly a topic where I expect to see funny comments.
I have not heard of priests raping nuns and little girls nearly as often as I have of them raping boys. But certainly, there are cases of both genders out there; I have not done tons of research, but just know from what I hear from TV and newspapers - mostly boys, mostly homosexual. No, that doesn't make these homosexual crimes. It makes them crimes against humanity.
And in any case - in every case - it's still a felony. They need priests in jail, surely; and why is a collar protection against the law?

Eric,
Just couldn't RESIST categorizing them as "mostly homosexual" before denying they are homosexual though.
