Hard pass.  First time ever I have zero interest.

Hey Patriots? Sometimes it's okay to, like, NOT be in a SB.

Taking the Rams in what I hope is going to be a competitive and fun game.

Actually pulling for the Patriots, because the Rams don't deserve to be playing in it.

It's not the Rams fault, Brian.  They didn't miss the call.  Hell, even the Rams defender said it was PI.  That said?  The Saints had the ball with less than two minutes on the clock and the Rams with just 2 timeouts.  They could have (should have) run the ball three times and stopped the clock with :05 seconds left to then kick a field goal.  They have the best RB combo in the NFL.  Instead, Peyton got cute and threw the ball on first and third down.  By the time the Rams got the ball back, the Saints had run about :11 seconds off the clock.

Yes, the non-call was awful.  Peyton's playcalling in situational football was worse.  And you can't blame the Rams for any of it.

As to the Super Bowl itself?  I think/hope it'll be a blast and, yes, I'll be watching.  As much as it pains me, I just feel like it's the Pats year.  This is hands down one of the least talented Super Bowl bound teams New England has fielded and yet here they are.  They clicked at just the right moment, a testament not only to coaching but Brady himself.  I'll be rooting for the Rams (Los Angeles, 'natch) but am picking the Pats.

I think it's the Pats year too. The only caveat I'd give is if the Rams 3 defensive lineman can play out of their minds - or to the level they should always play - they could be the kind of defense that drives Brady crazy.

Still, though, I think the Patriots win a close one, like they almost always do.

Well said on the non-call Matt! also the refs did give the saints a ticky-tak PI in overtime for a 20 yard gain. (just like always when they mess something up) It's not the rams fault that Brees threw a duck right at the Rams guy that fell down.  (now if it was a falcon DB it would have bounced off his pads and into the hand of saints)

As a falcons fan it was fun to hear the saints meltdown. Calling for the ref not to make it to the airport and show up at his house.

A rematch of Brady's 1st super bowl. Looking forward to the classic blue and golden yellow decorating the 'Benz. Really hoping for a different result than last game.

Meteor taking out both NE and LA training facilities?  No?

Meh.  Don't care.  IMO, this is an NFL generated match up.  Based on just the 2 conference games, the Rams definitely do not deserve to be there and the Patriots are iffy (some mighty questionable calls that went their way that helped pave the way for 2 scores).

I'll do something far more interesting on Super Bowl Sunday.  Maybe watch paint dry or something like that.

Brady's absurd run may seem interminable to many on this board by now but it's inevitably going to end sooner than later (he'll be 42 before next season starts.)  NE is the team I grew up on so I'm taking the Patriots but whatever happens I'm okay.  It's just amazing what he's accomplished this year in particular and I'm going to try to savor this game whatever happens.

Well, everybody knows who I support for years...I'll be for NE again, like my old frenemy Rick Senger.

Expecting another hell of a game for this year's last...I'll be watching it, probably alone by halftime in a ski station in the Alps, from midnight to 4AM.

This NE Brady Belichick run is...I can't find no word and I'm blessed I will have witness 9 (!) SB with my team in it and heck of games, all of them, grant us that ! No 80-90's AFC (or Denver-Seattle) blowouts. Wish everyone of you could have lived this.
I'm sad for my dear friend Pierre, a Who Dat Nation fan, we miss our dream SB matchup again...but I like Matt's read on the Payton's playcall.

Good game everybody, it's the last one before long (let's not talk about the Pro(s in Holidays) Bowl)..enjoy it !!!

Phil, Menton, France, 6:28PM ;)

Congrats to Pats fans.  Hands down one of the most boring Super Bowls I've ever seen, but then again I've never been a fan of defensive contests.  Brady was amazing getting them there, but Edelman certainly deserved SB MVP.

Now another long seven month slog with nary a sport I care enough about to follow...

First the Sox and now the Patriots and both over LA teams.   It was, indeed, a tedious Super Bowl with far less offensive fireworks than recent more exciting SBs but a win is a win and Brady getting his sixth is sweet indeed.  Edelman was a deserving MVP but Gronk had himself another solid game (6 catches including the key one to get them to the 2 yard line) on the heels of 6 catches and a million great blocks versus KC so I hope he doesn't hang 'em up as has been long rumored.

How pathetically bad was this game?  BOTH QBs had a lower passer rating in this game than Rex Grossman did in his with the Bears.  And that's really bad....

I think both defenses did well but most of the work happened pre-snap, and the offenses really had trouble executing consistently.  A couple of the sacks and that Rams-TD defying work by McCourty were pretty much the exemplars of individual play.

i was hoping for a shutout, but holding the Rams to just a field goal was good enough.

But no way I'm for the Patriots in the Super Bowl again, unless they end up facing the Eagles one more time.

Tom Brady's retirement, when it eventually happens, should  be a national holiday. Fans in New England will be in mourning, while most of the rest of the country will be celebrating. Especially if Belichick retires at the same time.
