For anyone lamenting the "young" Aunt May:

At 54 years old, Marisa Tomei won't be getting any younger, so what's to stop the filmmakers from one day writing a scenario (within the next 10 years or so) where the character falls ill, stops dying her hair, and then bingo, potential "classic" Aunt May!

Is this a parody account?

After only ten more years of getting it wrong, they're going to get it right.
Potentially. So anyone who's lamenting the way it is, just keep that in mind.
Because that should have some kind of effect. Soothing or comforting or
something.

(Yes, I signed-up 11 years ago specifically to create a "parody" account.)  :P

The point was Marisa Tomei can't stay "young" forever.  Her Aunt May is different now, but she could one day look closer to the original character from the comics.  It's not improbable.

We also see May asking if Peter is bringing his suit on his trip and later that she packed it in his suitcase without his knowledge. Unless Peter is claiming to be an international cosplayer, I think she knows.

Yep. That's the one detail that blows the idea to hell. But who knows, parents (and parent-types) can be quite gullible if the teen is a quick thinking smooth talker.

Should be interesting to see how it unfolds...I think...

I'm sorry to differ with you, but I think the idea you were proposing, that this
may somehow result in a more faithful version of the character, is the very
picture of improbable.

Why should we have to wait for 11 years to see a faithful Aunt May, especially when that would mean Peter would no longer be faithful.

Mind you, no one else in those films is faithful so what the hell.

Costume and effects haven't bothered me in any film incarnation.

No actor thus far has struck me as Peter Parker, and Tom Holland is no exception. I can safely say this Spider-Man is the one I like least, and the supporting cast doesn't help at all. One of the few MCU films I probably won't rush out to see. Might just wait for it to hit DVD.

If only Andrew Garfield didn't have that goofy haircut in his movies, he would have looked pretty darn close to Ditko's Peter, IMO.

That explains how the FF and X-Men will be integrated into the MCU.

I think Mysterio will end up closer to his comics origin and MO than the trailers are leading you to believe.

I'm in a major MCU rush after seeing ENDGAME which I thought was brilliant but I'm not feeling this Spider-Man version.

This trailer seems to be doubling down on precisely the aspects I didn't care for. I'm ok with Holland, he's pleasant enough. But the rest... not sold.
