For the few out there who did enjoy it and are interested in the Labor Day Extended Cut release, I cannot stress this enough: Find an IMAX with Laser theater, preferably with 3D and see it there. There is absolutely no better way to watch those action sequences, particularly the ones with illusions.

Just finished rewatching the movie.  As Doug said, nothing will rival the Laser IMAX 3D experience, but for story's sake it's still amazing...no obvious pun intended.  It's such a different "MU" movie as it's a slow-burn to get to the villain.  But what it takes to get there is well worth the journey.  I loved it every bit as much now as I did this summer.

I watched it last night for the second time (first time outside of the theatre) and it is very fun. Spider-Man should be a teenager with all the teenager problems and this one encapsulated that nicely. He was more worried about his friends than about saving the world and his main goal was to get a kiss from the girl. Fun stuff.

The only thing I don't like is the ending. Having him classed as a villain by the Daily Bugle is wonderful and I hope Peter Parker gets a part-time job there in future films but the other newsflash that Peter Parker is Spider-Man was terrible. No way to get out of that one and it completely ruins the entire character. Am at a loss why they ended the film that way. A shame.

Nah.  They can deal with that.  Maybe they won't, but the comics dealt with his secret identity being revealed to the masses many times in a way that was both convincing and satisfying.  Don't know if I trust Sony to do the right thing as I think this was a setup orchestrated by Marvel, but we'll just have to see.
