My first reaction (if I was living in Canada) would be to put a huge 'ASIMIL8' bumper sticker on my car.

This whole thing represents Canada's pathological need to be a "Cultural Mosaic" rather than a "Melting Pot". The latter built a strong America, which in recent decades we have seen swing more and more toward the former. Sadly, the harsh lesson is that "cultural diversity" all too often leads to cultural divisiveness.
