What I do is copy the original pencil scans and print them on letter-size paper. I'll bring that to Office Depot or Staples and enlarge it to something close to 11x17 then I use a vellum overlay to ink. Then I'll scan that 1/2 page at a time (I don't have an 11x17 scanner) and splice them back together on computer - I'm pretty sure this is not the industry standard.

Ah, ok. The Office Depot (or equivalent) aspect was what I was missing. Home printers usually can't print that large!

This has been my warm up page for several sessions now. I can't remember an image putting a more consistent smile on my face when I ink it. Finally finished it after about 5-6 sessions.Now time to tackle a complete page.

I've done this page several times. It is one of the best lesson pages I have ever had, but this is the last time for a while.

It was fun inking Sauron.  Man! - that detailed forest background! I wonder if JB uses reference for the jungle plants or if they're made up on the spot.
