Told me a while back. Good news.

But I told him I wouldn’t call him Mr. President.

WOW! Congrats!

Can't help but think this may work out very well for JB's new X-Men "series"... :)

Great news. Was hard to imagine an IDW without him.

You know, alot can be learned from Chris, do your best to leave on good terms... sometimes the door that closes will open again. I’m happy for Chris!

This is great news - congrats to Chris who has done so much to put IDW on the map.  I hope it is a good homecoming for him.  It sounds like the company has seen some executive office chaos since his departure.

I had been thinking it would be cool if Chris Ryall was editor on X-MEN ELSEWHEN and wondering if he could somehow freelance at Marvel for the project.  As Nathan notes above, if this becomes a joint Marvel/IDW project then he would be involved in some way.  Chris Ryalll has been editor on some of the strongest work of JB’s career, so the creative dynamic between them works well and would be good for the book.

Very good news indeed for IDW and JB. Here's hoping for Marvel to print the Elsewhen series but if not maybe a possibility for IDW in some format .

Since it's close to Christmas a couple of more wishes:
 1. JB doing that team book he was mentioning many moons ago ( I believe he said something along the lines of Avengers /JLA )

2. A coffee table book of his works (similar to Neal Adam , Jim Starlin , George Perez) or even a book of all commissions .

Mr. Byrne, now that you seem to have a little bit of rekindled interest doing comics, and Chris Ryall is back at IDW, is there consideration for you to do one of those delightful four issue series IDW? You have spanned the alpha to omega, and I have money on my desk right here that is waiting to pay for a Vanguard series.

'Course, I got a bank account waiting for X-Men:Elsewhen TOO... :)
