Three teams facing a short week.  This is usually a feast for the home field.  But I dunno...

  • Bears at Lions - Like the Chargers, the Bears are just quietly good.
  • Redskins at Cowboys - Cowboys suck, but they are at home.  Plus, it doesn't matter who I pick, I'll be wrong.
  • Falcons at Saints - If the Falcons won it might be the upset of the century.  Falcons can't beat an egg lately, and the Saints score like Tribbles reproduce.

Thursday, November 22

  • Bears at Lions - But I'll be rooting for the Lions...
  • Redskins at Cowboys - Maybe Colt will surprise.  Doubt it.
  • Falcons at Saints - The Saints have too much mojo this season and the Falcons are, in a word, bad.

  • Bears at Lions- Johnson is out for Detroit so this is a loooooong shot.
  • Redskins at Cowboys- To my dismay it looks like Dallas may have figured out the right scheme to win, if they stick to it.
  • Falcons at Saints

Sunday, November 25

  • Jaguars at Bills

Thursday, November 22

  • Bears at Lions Chicago is hot but on the road in a trap game just 4 days after an emotional win over the Vikes.  Plus Trubisky is dinged and uncertain. Detroit has won 3 straight T-giving games over the Bears (4 of 5) including 2014 in Detroit where Stafford dominated with 390 yards so I go dog.
  • Redskins at Cowboys How important is QB?  McCoy has thrown 7 TD passes in the past 7 seasons.  Sanchez has only played 6 games in the past 4 seasons for 4 TDs.  Neither played a down last year and they've thrown 12 total passes this year.  Wash could go from first to worst in 6 games.
  • Falcons at Saints I'll be walking off the turkey during this turkey.

Mitch Trubisky is out for Thursday's game.  Had the game been on Sunday, he probably could have started.

Chase Daniel gets the start.

Bears will still win, 'cause DEFENSE.

Never go against what your eyes actually see..

- The Redskins defense, particularly their secondary, has been decimated by injury.  And now they're starting a QB who hasn't had a meaningful snap in four years vs a Dallas D that's fairly good and an offense that has found their footing by running the ball.

- The Falcons are bad.  They just are.  Anemic offensive playcalling that refuses to work to the strengths of those involved coupled with a defense that has been subpar for several years.

Maybe, MAYBE, there was a shot at a non-obvious outcome with Mitch not at the helm, but Chicago is predicated on D as much as they are O.

During the offseason, the Cowboys really need to shore up the O-line to protect Dak better. At one point during the game they said he was the third most sacked QB this year.

So naturally, I expect them to draft a bunch of defensive players and maybe a TE or WR. Because that's how bad Jerry Jones is.

I really want Saints vs. either the Bears or Rams during the playoffs. But I cannot pull for the Rams if they make it to the Super Bowl, due to Suh being on their roster.

This feels like a home team weekend.

Sunday, November 25

  • Jaguars at Bills - Jags typically give the Steelers headaches, and yet they couldn't put them away.  Bills can win if they don't turn it over.
  • Browns at Bengals - A team sorta on the way up-ish and a team dedicated to mediocrity.  The AFC North is shaping up to be a pretty week division this season.
  • Patriotsat Jets - Nope.  Patriots are not the big fish any more, but they should be able to beat up on the Jets.
  • Giants at Eagles - Two sucky teams, sucking on TV for our amusement.
  • 49ers at Buccaneers - After a billion yards offense last week, and three points, the Bucs have to find the end zone early.
  • Seahawks at Panthers - Panthers are not a lot better, but they are at home.
  • Raiders at Ravens - Oof.
  • Cardinals at Chargers - Chargers need to get back on track here.
  • Steelersat Broncos - Broncos always play the Steelers hard, and they beat the Chargers, but I am holding out hope.
  • Dolphins at Colts - Colts should take the lead and never lose it.
  • Packers at Vikings - Just about the only exciting game this Sunday.

Monday, November 26

  • Titans at Texans - But I don't care.
My Potential Tie Pick is Browns-Bengals

Getting your picks in under the wire!  Methinks you hope that I sleep in and forget, but NEVER!!

Sunday, November 25

  • Jaguars at Bills
  • Browns at Bengals - DISAGREE!!!  The Bungles are horrible on defense and only just mediocre on offense without AJ Green.
  • Patriots at Jets
  • Giants at Eagles
  • 49ers at Buccaneers - DISAGREE!!!  Very little faith in the Niners, but zero faith in the Bucs.  They can score, sure, but they can't defend either the pass or the run.  Winston is also guaranteed to throw at least 2 picks.
  • Seahawks at Panthers
  • Raiders at Ravens
  • Cardinals at Chargers
  • Steelers at Broncos
  • Dolphins at Colts
  • Packers at Vikings - This is it.  The loser is done in the North.  Vikings had an opportunity to win three times in our first meeting but for a kicker that's no longer on our roster.  Packers haven't won on the road this season and crumble late in games. At home, with our fans, I'm SKOL!!! all the way.

Monday, November 26

  • Titans at Texans
Looking at this slate of games a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't have been more disinterested if I tried.  Garbage games except, as Hagerman noted, SNF and possibly MNF.  Otherwise?  Wow.  Bunch of yuck.

I would never try to edge you out!  I just suck as a frenemy sometimes.

Looks like your Browns call was spot on.  Their road losing streak is in danger!

Early games...

  • Jaguars at Bills - Right.
  • Browns at Bengals - RIGHT! HAGERMAN WRONG!!! Gotta be Marvin Lewis' final season.  The Bungles are just awful.
  • Patriots at Jets - Right
  • Giants at Eagles - Right
  • 49ers at Buccaneers - WRONG!  HAGERMAN RIGHT!!!  The Niners really are just that bad.
  • Seahawks at Panthers - Wrong.  Three game skid for the Panthers.  Something's not right in Carolina.
  • Raiders at Ravens - Right

  • With three wins on Thanksgiving, I go 8-2 on the week and 1-1 v Hagerman.

Well, we got Charlie Brown'd by the Broncos over the Steelers in Denver.  I should have followed my gut rather than my heart.

Roethlisberger threw thirty-one passes in the first half!  That's NEVER good.
