Also, the MNF game may be moved back to LA.  Apparently the turf in Mexico City is in horrendous condition and not safe to play on.

MNF has been moved to LA,  The turf in Mexico was/is too dangerous to play on.

Word is if they hadn't moved it back to L.A. a number of players were wanting to sit it out.  That's some bad turf.

Worst turf I ever saw.  Steve Young was there and he called the field "non-competitive".  Steelers won, 3-0.

Thursday, November 15

  • Packers at Seahawks - This is not only my preferred choice between two teams I don't like (and actively despise the Cheeseheads), but desire re: the NFC North race.

The Packers seem to almost have it.  Almost is probably not enough on the road against the Seahawks.  Plus I'm a craven coward.

Sunday, November 18

  • Cowboys at Falcons - The Dirty Bird gets the pick 'cause they're at home.  On the road, they're as bad as the Packers.
  • Panthers at Lions
  • Titans at Colts - On a roll + letdown game for the Titans.
  • Buccaneers at Giants - Cold northern game favors the home team over the boys from the Bay.
  • Texans at Redskins
  • Steelers at Jaguars
  • Bengals at Ravens - Not confident in this pick.  Either RGIII or Jackson will start in place of an injured Flacco.  The Bengals are so bad on defense that they fired their coordinator. Home team gets the pick.
  • Raiders at Cardinals - We've seen some bad matchups this season.  This ranks near the top.
  • Broncos at Chargers - Something is clicking in that pro soccer stadium the Chargers call home.
  • Eagles at Saints
  • Vikings at Bears - Vegas is taking the Bears.  I won't!  SKOL!!!!!

Monday, November 19

  • Chiefs at Rams - Coin flip.  Reason enough to pick either team.  Great offenses vs mediocre to poor defenses. Who has the ball last?  I'll pick the team from my home city.
Over to you, Hagerman!

I was tempted to go with the Ravens over Bengals, but just couldn't do it. Flacco being out is a plus for picking them, not against them, though.

Don't know about that.  RGIII hasn't won a meaningful game in years and Jackson is a project.

Sunday, November 18

  • Cowboys at Falcons - A snorer or a roarer.
  • Panthers at Lions - Cat fight!
  • Titans at Colts
  • Buccaneers at Giants (MATT DISAGREES!) - I said I wasn't picking the Giants again and I am sticking to it.
  • Texans at Redskins - No way I pick this game right, so I may as well agree with my frenemy.
  • Steelers at Jaguars - Jags always seem to have our number, though, and last week's game was so resistance-free the Steelers may have forgotten what a football game is really like.
  • Bengals at Ravens - Two teams going in the same direction: to hell.
  • Raiders at Cardinals
  • Broncos at Chargers
  • Eagles at Saints - Eagles in disarray.
  • Vikings at Bears (MATT DISAGREES!) - Sunday Night Drama!  I could not resist switching my pick.  And 24 hours later...

Monday, November 19

  • Chiefs at Rams (MATT DISAGREES!) - Monday Night Drama!
Either way they end up, I think we have some great night games this weekend!

Early games...

  • Cowboys at Falcons - Wrong.  The Falcons this season...woof.
  • Panthers at Lions - Wrong.  After an impressive start, the Panthers look less than stellar.
  • Titans at Colts - Right.  Just had a feeling...
  • Buccaneers at Giants - RIGHT!!!  HAGERMAN WRONG. Valiant failed comeback attempt.  Having played the Bucs for decades when they were in the NFC North, I knew that they've always struggled playing in the cold.
  • Texans at Redskins - Right.  Thoughts to Alex Smith.  That injury looked nasty.
  • Steelers at Jaguars - Right.  Jags!  They had it!  Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
  • Bengals at Ravens - Right. Too close for comfort, but I'll take it!
6-2 on the week so far and 1-0 v Hagerman.

Thirty-three years to the day, same team, on the same spot of the field.

Let's all meet back here in 2051.

Much as I don't like Le'veon Bell's hold-out, this is why it makes sense Imo.
