Bill, you don't know the roads in your own city? Tut, tut... ;-)
Queen Square, Bill? Get to there (please tell me you know that or I'll unfriend you). You know the Prince Albert Statue, right? Walk down Dudley Street, look out for Greggs, King Street is your first left. Lots of merchandise in there, many of it figures and toys.

Greggs is the store one never goes in because THEY PUT MAYO ON THEIR SANDWICHES!
Do let me know if you go in that shop. Photos welcome. There are fewer comics than other stores as it's more toys and merchandise than anything.
And can you please tell your city to set up a WHSmith there? When I'm there, where am I supposed to buy magazines?

Oh Robbie, there WAS one in The Mander Centre, but it closed a couple of years ago...another reason for me not to visit!
Interesting fact...The Greggs in New Cross Hospital is claimed to be the second busiest in the country, how`s that for irony?

I dare say, my good men! Well said! Well said, indeed! And how's about that all that uproar and codswallop at Harrod's, eh? Blinkered case of the collywobbles in a pig's eye there, if you ask me, eh wot?
Okay, you're right. The rest of us can't play here. Carry on...

Greg, my uncle ventured into Wolverhampton by car at night to visit the theatre, he hadn`t driven in the city for a couple of decades.Confused by the road layout and poor signage, he merged into a lane a couple of metres too early and got TWO fines for being in a bus lane.He vowed never to visit the city again.
=====================================================
Bill, I also fell foul of bus lanes in Glasgow when working up there. My sat nav took me on a route past Central Station which is a two lane road. No markings for a Bus Lane, 3 weeks later a £90 fine hits me. I queried and challenged it, and it turns out there is a tiny sign that says the left hand lane is for buses only, and I should have been more observant!!! No leeway given. My Dad got caught out by it 5 weeks later, and a work colleague shortly after that. Must be a great money spinner.

Robbie, I only stop at Greggs at motorway services, but was in one in Folkestone the other week and see they charge 50p to sit inside and eat your food.
Everyone else reading this, this is how exciting Britain gets and is indicative of the shared problems we face on our fair isle ;)

Yes, the New York store is FPI.
On a related note, we used to have a lot of non-FP comic stores around. There are some - check out Dave's Comics in Brighton if you're ever there - but there was one called Another World in Wolverhampton.
I think most either "died" or became absorbed by FP or FPI.

Thanks, Robbie! If I ever make it to that part of the world, I'll look out for it.

I used to use Futureshock in Glasgow as a comic shop. Which was Glasgow's first comic shop.
A Google search of it reveals a colourful history about it to say the least.
