I am a Dodgers fan going back to the mid 70's.

My wife is a Red Sox fan.

I'm doomed either way :-)

I'm a New Yorker (not a Yankee fan) and I grew up in the Yaz-Pudge era, so I'm still utterly stunned how completely the Sox have exorcised the Curse of the Bambino over the past 15 years.

It feels great but I wish I could tell my younger self who got his heart stomped by so many Sox disappointments in the 70s and 80s that better days would eventually come.   Boston dominated the early 20th century then went about 100 years before winning again.  Hope history doesn't repeat!

In a perfect world, the curse would now be on the Yankees.

(Honestly, during game 3, I gave up caring about who won around the 12th. Just wanted it to be over.)

The Red Sox did an amazing job - a well deserved win.
