Anyone else watching this, I'm 8 episodes in and it's pretty good.  It's been fun trying to find the ghosts(the not so obvious ones that is)...

I thought it was tremendous. A little long at times but I thought the payoff was worth it for me big time. I didn't find it unusually scary but, well, I've seen a lot of haunted house stories over the years. One jump scare did scare the bejeezus out of me (I won't spoil.)

Shed some tears along the way for sure!

I've got 3 episodes left and I'm enjoying it a lot. Like the characters, like the visuals, the episode with multiple looooong uninterrupted takes with all those characters moving around was exceptional.

Two episodes in and I'm struggling to see how, despite quality acting, writing and production values, this ends up as anything other than a poor adaptation. It is so fundamentally different from the source.

I like the source; I think it is a classic. I think the 1963 film is a definitive screen version. My issue is not that this is something after the versions I like and therefore destined to fail -- I'm willing to give all sort of latitude --but the core of the story, the inter-relations of the characters, the characters themselves are so fundamentally changed that I have a problem.

I can't get into it... someone at work described it as a horror-TV version of "THIS IS US," and that's all needed to hear.

And my wife binge-watched it later, and all the scenes I walked in on (even bearing in mind that I was watching them out-of-context), made me roll my eyes.  While I thought this would be right up my alley, it actually looks insufferable to me

Don't need to subject myself to 10 hours of it!

I enjoyed it thoroughly and was a little sad when it was over. A site online had a list of all the ghosts that show up and I was a little surprised at how many I had missed, so I might have to give it a re-watch.
