I hope they put all that ninja-magic stuff behind them.

The costume is in this season, and there's a reason Matt isn't wearing it when he isn't.

Spoiler free explanation.

The first confrontation with Bullseye was great.

I really would like to see how they pull off some of
these fight scenes, they seem really dangerous when
multiple people are involved.

Just finished it today. Good season.

But...

Isn't pointing where to shoot for someone still killing?

I've never agreed with the no killing rule. In self
defense or defending someone else it is completely
justified.

that works well together.

I'm up to the penultimate episode. Jesus Christ. I'd put this season up against anything on tv or the movies that Marvel has released. It's THAT good.

Is viewing season 2 necessary to understanding what is going on during season 3? I enjoyed season 1, but couldn't make it through 2. I stopped about half way. I didn't like the Elektra parts. If season 3 is similar I don't want to bother.
Thanks for whatever responses.

No, not really. Did you watch THE DEFENDERS? This season starts where it ended, but you don't really HAVE to watch it to know what's going on.

*******

I just watched this this morning. Those guys weren't dead. It looked like they were shot in the legs.

"Did you watch THE DEFENDERS?"

No. I gave up on the Marvel Netflix shows after I couldn't finish JESSICA JONES, LUKE CAGE or season two of DAREDEVIL. I very much enjoyed season one of DAREDEVIL, and would watch season three if homework on other shows is not needed.

No homework is needed.  In fact, Netflix has a five minute recap video that quickly runs through all of the relevant events of seasons 1 and 2 and Defenders in quick clips to get you caught up or refreshed for season 3.

I was worried when it looked like Season 3 was going to be a hollowed out version of BORN AGAIN, one of comics' great perfect jewels. I was pleasantly surprised by how little the show actually adapted, instead extracting some imagery, and expanding on aspects in the comic, like Sister Maggie and the psycho in a costume from Melvin's shop, that actually profited from expansion. The Miller/Mazzuchelli original didn't need Bullseye, but hot dog did the show strike alchemy by throwing him in. I've only managed to sit through the first seasons of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist, so it was nice this season finally delivered.

I'm so far behind on the series that it'll be awhile before I get to it.  However, the character Julie Barnes is played by Holly Cinnamon (her real name, btw), an actress I've worked with a few years ago on a live theatre production ("Perfect Pie).

I'll be tuning in for that reason.

I finally binge-watched the first season. Overall, very, very good. (Wow, Matt gets cut up a lot. Clearly, heightened senses and martial arts training don't immediately turn you into Batman or Captain America.)

Two complaints:

"Race-swapping" Ben Urich. Yes, he was well-played. And it's not like he lasted very long. Still. There's no reason that some other character -- say, one of Wilson Fisk's close associates -- could've been played by a black man rather than Urich. Those characters were all created for the show; they weren't taken from the comics, unless I'm forgetting what I read in DAREDEVIL decades ago.

The only thing l liked about the Ben Affleck DAREDEVIL movie was the costume. This TV costume...it needs work. It should be entirely red, not red (is it brick-red? crimson?) and black, and it NEEDS the "DD" emblem. I gather that it still isn't there. How hard would it be to just add it on?

Favorite character: Foggy. Impossible to not like the guy.

Yes, I can agree with that. The Affleck suit, with mmmaybe a slightly muted red, in the Netflix show would be great. I really hate these utilitarian, soldier-like suits everyone is getting.

The sleek, shiny, costumes look great on Black Panther, Spider-Man, and The Vision, I have no doubt one would look great on Daredevil. Or Iron Fist, for that matter.

I liked Season 3 a lot, probably the best season so far for DD in my opinion, but I have a few problems with it:

Karen Page: I feel the pacing of the show hits a wall with every scene she's in. I felt this way about her scenes in season 1 &  2 as well. They spend so much time with her and it's not all that interesting. She is a great actor, but I find the material boring.

DD Vision: I was disappointed (again) by the lack of seeing the world through DD's eyes. We saw it once in season 1 and then that was it.

No costume at all: I wish we could have seen him in costume at the end standing on a roof or something. I get it, he doesn't have one anymore, but at the same time it would have been nice to him back in full form at Matt & DD.

Gladiator: This is more of a minor quibble, but Matt doesn't even acknowledge Gladiator's fate when he finds him toward the end?
