A few people have posted the item on Facebook. Elseworlds... starring Stephen Amell as Barry Allen and Grant Gustin as Oliver Queen.

Or to quote Felicity... "Oh, come on, not AGAIN?!?"

There's a pic out of Superman from the event, and he's going to have a black and silver version of the costume. So yeah, I'm thinking alternate universe versions of the characters.

It's only a three part crossover. DC's Legends of Tomorrow will not be in the crossover event this season.

Cool. I don't watch these shows regularly, but checking in once a year with these crossovers is fun.

I don't think they'll ever top "Crisis on Earth-X." But this looks like it'll be a fun romp.

I’m on board...I think the DC shows are starting to hit a decent stride,
overall.

I do hope more "Elseworlds" exposure will finally life the moratorium on Elseworlds comics. But, still, I am looking forward to this crossover.

Looking forward to this. "Crisis on Earth-X" was a lot of fun.

John Wesley Shipp and Stephen Amell

***

Neither of whom look good in those costumes. Amell looks like he could lose a few pounds (maybe it's just the costume).

A few spots just started showing up on CW. For example:

There's also a Grant Gustin / Arrow spot, also.

Good on y'all for keeping on keeping on with the CW DC shows.  I was a big fan for quite a while, but started to drift away a couple of seasons ago.  I knew it was over when I looked at my DVR and had 18 episodes each of ARROW and FLASH.  Dumped them all and haven't looked back. It was a combination of too formulaic, too much soap opera, and basically wash, rinse, repeat every season.  Couldn't do it any more.  Too many other series I was far more interested in watching vying for my time.  But for those of you still watching, I'm glad you find enough in the experience to enjoy it.  It just became evident that it wasn't for me.

I was close to dropping LEGENDS, but it has gotten better. And not just to the addition of Constantine to the team.

However, BLACK LIGHTNING has started to drag. And if something that happened in the last episode doesn't turn out to be a swerve, I may actually be done with it soon.

With THE FLASH, I really wish they'd quit introducing alternate versions of Wells.

LEGENDS has become my go to On Demand show each week when I have an open hour.
Usually a fun 60 minutes with some laughs. They don't take themselves too seriously so that's how I watch it.

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW went from the worst CW DC show to the best.

Legends turned the corner back in season 2 when they realized that the premise of the show was somewhat absurd and just embraced it. Since then, they've gone with the crazy more often than not and somehow it works.

I'd agree that DC's Legends of Tomorrow is still the one CW DC show I will make a point to watch.

BATWOMAN is in development for the CW network, probably sometime in 2019. From the Variety article July 2018: "Variety has learned that The CW is developing a series about the DC superhero that would debut in 2019 should it get picked up.  News of the development comes after the network announced in May that the character would appear in the annual crossover event between four of the CW’s DC shows: “The Flash,” “Arrow,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” and “Supergirl.”

If you don't watch SUPERGIRL, it featured a tag scene at the end featuring John Wesley Shipp's Flash and the Monitor on Earth-90 (Get it? Get it!?). The scene will also be at the end of ARROW and THE FLASH, but if you can't wait:

The tag scene was also at the end of the Flash this week.

Although the Legends are not involved directly in this crossover... I hope they caused it.

It starts on Sunday night with the Flash episode. Part 2 is on Arrow on Monday and wraps up with part 3 on Supergirl on Tuesday.

They said the reason that the Legends aren't a part of this (other than a cameo or two) is that they have too many characters between all the shows and that results in a number of them just standing in the background of scenes instead of being utilized properly. They want to give the characters they use in the crossovers more to do and that means streamlining them a bit so for this particular crossover, that meant Legend sat it out.

I think its rather obvious why Black Lightning isn't involved: With the other heroes' power levels, they'd take out Tobias in about 30 seconds if they showed up on his Earth or if BL asked them for help.
