He's a series regular now, so expect to see more of him.

Wishful thinking on my part, then.

Apparently, based on some comics I didn't read, Diaz is actually Richard Dragon--and that's why he's such a good fighter (better than Ollie, who can beat anyone) and why maybe they won't kill him.  Makes it a little interesting that he and the Bronze Tiger are now in the same prison.  Annoying that I had to do an Internet search for perplexing show things to be explained to me.  (Also, why can't we just have a straight Richard Dragon interpretation in comics and on TV?  Why does DC have to convolute everything?)

Why does Oliver Queen seem to spend so little time
actually being Green Arrow? He`s either stuck on an
island, being mayor or stuck in prison!

Next season will be the last, and will only be 10 episodes.

Another example being Adrian Chase and Vigilante in Arrow as well.

CW has announced that season #8 will be the final season of ARROW. It's a short season of 10 episodes.

Honestly, as much as I like the show, I think that it is for the best. The show, IMO, has made some bad creative decisions that makes the show a chore to watch sometimes. Frankly, I would like to see the show rebooted with a much lighter tone and more faithful version to the original comic book version of Green Arrow. They could use next years COIE crossover to reboot Arrow (and all of the other CW DC shows).

I feel like they are putting more care in this season, particularly in the scripts. But status quo after Oliver was set free is not interesting at all to me. I just want to see Green Arrow kicking criminal butts, perhaps with the help of Black Canary and one or two other friends.
I didn't see the last episode, and it is sad to me, because it's the first episode I decided not to see since the beginning of the show. I feel like the two first seasons (the best ones in my opinion) were building towards something that never arrived.

How about a "Crisis" or something that takes things back several years, and we have Green Arrow acting in the shadows along with his love interest, Laurel Lance (aka Black Canary) with the technical support of a nerd girl called Felicity and the occasional muscle of his loyal friend John Diggle?

To me it has also lost itself with too many characters / story lines.
At this point with the end approaching.... Just give me a few episodes with my Green Arrow. Goatee and all.

I remember the Green Arrow re boot with Grell where they owned a flower shop and kept it simple. Yes Please.

Getting the feeling now of smallville. Waiting for something that never comes. Just as you say Sergio.
