Apparently Disney decided that Chuck
Wendig's Tweets were a little much.

I have all the respect in the world of
anyone who takes issues with the current
administration, whether I agree or not.
That said, Wendig IMO, went beyond that
and straight into the Twitter dumpster
fire.

It's not his first clash with conservatives, this is just the one that generated enough backlash to get him canned. A few years back, he got into it with them over his inclusion of a gay character in his Star Wars: Aftermath novels. Wendig came under fire from conservatives for including the character and he went to verbal war with them. Later, he went at them over the children in cages thing with the border and now went at them over Kavanaugh.

Did he go to far? Did he deserve to get fired for expressing his views? Should companies bow to pressure from either side to fire someone for questionable reasons?

Apparently, our old buddy Ethan Van Sciver had a hand in trolling this guy on YouTube and twitter being the head of something called Comicsgate.

All I know is that Aftermath was unreadable. Marvels comics by Aarron and others are quite good!

I think the takeaway should be that Twitter sucks and people should stop using it.

Best way to stop, is never to start. I'm so glad I never gave in to joining twitter.
