Scriptwriter Ray Galton has died at the age of 88:


The likes of STEPTOE AND SON and HANCOCK'S HALF HOUR are quite a legacy.

Condolences to his loved ones.

And without "Steptoe and Son," we wouldn't have had "Sanford and Son" which I hear was initially a much closer remake of the former than "All in the Family" ever was of Jonny Speight's "Till Death Us Do Part."
