Details here:

I did enjoy the 1988-1990 BBC drama. Haven't seen the modern films. Have read the books.

Not sure what a new series can bring to the table that hasn't already been done, but I guess adaptations of any works will always be a thing.

Yeah, but what do they do after episode 7?

After all, "24" only lasted for eight days anyhow...

Every attempt so far has ended up adapting the first 3-4 books then petering out.  So half the series has never been adapted.  The stories take place over multiple generations and switch out main characters.  One of the later books is set in a completely different time and part of Narnia than the main narrative.  Another is a prequel.  So there’s still a lot of room left.  And doing a main series, with those later books as separate films/mini-series might be a good way to get the whole thing done.

Someday I hope somebody adapts Lewis’ Space Trilogy.  Pretty interesting vintage British sci-fi, heavily influenced by John Carter and Lovecraft.

A better idea would be a crossover between LORD OF THE RINGS and NARNIA.

Aslan and Gandalf VS Saruman? Place your bets.

Let's too in some FINAL FANTASY, as well.

Saruman wouldn't last 30 seconds once Squall and Cloud show up and casts Knights of the Round, while Gandalf has some mimic materia.

Though a Sephiroth vs. Aslan fight would be fun to watch....
