Based on his "Joker", this does not seem like much to which anyone should look forward!

Agreed. I'm feeling like this is going to be another Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn situation - someone that could be the physically perfect casting for a role, only to have that completely mucked up by them being handed a character that bears no resemblance to the original.

I was one that never found Morbius interesting. While I tend to jump in head first to most MCU movies (I'm not sure which Sony ones count as part of that), I don't see this as overly appealing.

The idea of a “ scientific vampire” I thought was intriguing, but the trappings were often too much like a “conventional” vampire.

I must confess the one and only time I ever saw Morbius was in Spider-
Man story where Peter tries to cure himself and grows extra arms in the
process!

Don’t get why he suddenly deserves his own movie, but hey... he did
look cool!

Morbius was one of my all-time favorite Spidey villains, dating back to the summer of '77, when I would read (and re-read again) Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #6 at nighttime, by the light of a yellow streetlamp shining-in through my bedroom window... a very eerie experience for 5-year old me, at the time.  Any time he made another comic book appearance after that, I had to scoop it up.  Later on, during my hardcore collecting phase, I even went back and found a majority of his "Adventure into FEAR" early-70s issues.

I fully expect any new movie to look and feel NOTHING like the villain I remember.
