Thursday, September 6

  • Falcons at Eagles  NFC Div rematch.  Same outcome.

I predict the teams that score the most points will win.

Eagles

Ravens
Jaguars
Saints
Patriots
Vikings (my flip a coin game of the week)
Titans
Colts
Steelers
Chiefs
Broncos
Cowboys
Cardinals
Packers

Lions
Rams

The Giants spent too much money on OBJ, and will regret it before that 5 years is up.

So last year I forgot about football picks until about week 3. Not wanting to jinx my Eagles I chose not to do picks. Clearly, my decision is the reason for their Super Bowl win (sarcasm detected).

Rich,
Can we go head to head? My picks are below.

Thursday, September 6

  • Falcons at Eagles

Sunday, September 9

  • Bills at Ravens
  • Jaguars at Giants (Disagree)
  • Buccaneers at Saints
  • Texans at Patriots
  • 49ers at Vikings (Disagree)
  • Titans at Dolphins
  • Bengals at Colts (Disagree)
  • Steelers at Browns (Disagree)
  • Chiefs at Chargers (Disagree)
  • Seahawks at Broncos
  • Cowboys at Panthers
  • Redskins at Cardinals
  • Bears at Packers

Monday, September 10

Andy, - at a glance (because I am a Steelers fan): you and Rich both took the Browns but you listed it as a disagree.

Here we go!

Thursday, September 6
  • Falcons at Eagles - Picking the upset.

Sunday, September 9

  • Bills at Ravens
  • Jaguars at Giants
  • Buccaneers at Saints
  • Texans at Patriots
  • 49ers at Vikings
  • Titans at Dolphins
  • Bengals at Colts
  • Steelers at Browns
  • Chiefs at Chargers - If this was in Arrowhead, I'd pick the Chiefs.
  • Seahawks at Broncos - Toss up.  Both teams have huge questions at key positions.  Going home team.
  • Cowboys at Panthers
  • Redskins at Cardinals
  • Bears at Packers

Monday, September 10

  • Jets at Lions
  • Rams at Raiders
Lots of room for disagreement, Hagerman.  Do you take the bait or play it cool?  Your turn!

**Hagerman, since you haven't made your picks yet I changed out my Titans/Dolphins pick and am now going with the Titans.

Thanks for hosting this again Kevin!

Thursday, September 6

  • Falcons at Eagles- Good first game of the season.

Sunday, September 9

  • Bills at Ravens
  • Jaguars at Giants- Tough game. Ramsey covering Beckham what a match up!
  • Buccaneers at Saints
  • Texans at Patriots- Though I predict 3 sacks for Watt on his angry comeback.
  • 49ers at Vikings
  • Titans at Dolphins
  • Bengals at Colts- Luck looking to prove the naysayers wrong.
  • Steelers at Browns
  • Chiefs at Chargers
  • Seahawks at Broncos
  • Cowboys at Panthers- Which Panther team will show?
  • Redskins at Cardinals
  • Bears at Packers- I believe this will be closer than expected.

Monday, September 10

  • Jets at Lions- Lions offense and defense lines didn't look good in pre season. Hopefully they can muster enough against the Jets.
  • Rams at Raiders

Dammit! You can probably add 4 sacks on Stafford this year.

I didn't see enough pre-season to know what's what, but here we go.

Thursday, September 6

  • Falcons at Eagles - Is it an upset?  I think of this as a match between NFC champions, not last year's champion vs the previous year's goat.  Foles having a "sophomore" slump pre-season.  Get it while the getting's good, ATL.

Sunday, September 9

  • Bills at Ravens - Bills over-achieved last season; Ravens always competitive.
  • Jaguars at Giants - Giants not on solid ground yet imho.
  • Buccaneers at Saints - Weak rivalry game.
  • Texans at Patriots - Hope Texans do well bouncing back from injury-depletion.
  • 49ers at Vikings - Garappolo had a great showing last season.  This could be a great game.
  • Titans at Dolphins - Who?  Don Shula's old team?  Against who?
  • Bengals at Colts (MATT DISAGREES!) - We have to disagree on something; may as well be the Bengals, who confounded me last year.
  • Steelers at Browns - This is exactly the kind of game the Steelers lose, though.
  • Chiefs at Chargers - Could be a corker.
  • Seahawks at Broncos (MATT DISAGREES!) - Don't trust the Broncos.
  • Cowboys at Panthers - My friend Eric predicted last year that Romo was propping up the offense from the sideline the previous season, and his absence would be felt.  I'm making that my north star.
  • Redskins at Cardinals (MATT DISAGREES!) - Redskins could have three straight undefeated seasons where they shut out every opponent and never scored less than 49 points a game and I would still pick against them.  My mind cannot accept that they could win a game.
  • Bears at Packers - NFC North showdown!

Monday, September 10

  • Jets at Lions - Joe Namath's old team?
  • Rams at Raiders - Don't sleep on the Rams.
...and awaaAAAy we go!
