Marvel:
Fantastic Four #1 - Happy Birthday to me! Possibly the best present I'll get this time around.

Boom! Studios:
Black Badge #1 - Black Ops Scouts - clever stuff by Kindt and co.

Dark Horse:
B.P.R.D. The Devil You Know #9 - The end is nigh!

Image:
Hey Kids! Comics #1 - The hidden history of comics wryly played out on the page, with just a touch of jaded cynicism.

Oni Press:
Shadow Roads #2 - Antogonists and protagonists are fleshed out a bit more in this issue.

Brian, Walt Simonson is currently putting together the third arc of Ragnarok. There are a few samples on his Facebook page. I'd love to see JB do a variant cover for this series.

Hawkman #3
Superman #2
Fantastic Four #1- My LCS pulled the Simonson cover for me. I liked the first issue but Slott's writing gets very close to fan fiction for me. Good start but I don't know that I care for Pichelli's Ben Grimm.

Fantastic Four #1 - Holding off reading for now, they haven't finished the Marvel 2-1 Fate of the Four that I know of yet...
Hey Kids! Comics! #1 - Howard Chaykin's new Image book, I'll give the first few issues a shot.
Star Wars: Darth Vader #19 - Fortress Vader Pt. 1.

Prayer fail - I should have wished that the book not be infuriating. It's not bad, and I probably would have really enjoyed it if it was the last issue of the Ben and Johnny run of Marvel Two-In-One (maybe with a nice "To be continued... in FANTASTIC FOUR #1!!!!" blub). As the first issue of a revived Fantastic Four series, I'm with the Impossible Man in the first third of the back-up strip.

Back in March, Marvel made the announcement that the Fantastic Four will be returning. And the first issue ends with... an announcement that the Fantastic Four may be returning. (Only this one cost $6.) When there's a whole series devoted to Johnny and Ben moping about missing Reed and Sue, I think you can cut to the chase and get to doing the reunion. Too bad Marvel disagreed.
