Since I read rumors about Palpatine and Anakin Skywalker coming back from the dead, I imagine them being recreated by midichlorians...

As JJ Abrams said he was tying up loose ends...

I long had a sneaking suspicion that one day the Powers That Be would finally give up the ghost and just remake "Episode IV" from top to bottom, cramming in a bunch of unnecessary callbacks to the Prequels, with heavyhanded foreshadowing to the sequels (and Sequel Trilogy), and tying up any and all supposed loose ends or plot holes...

From the sounds of things, J.J. may be trying to accomplish much the same thing with Episode 9, probably overstuffing it with too much fanwank until it bursts.

New trailer dropped.  I kept making 'member berries voices.  Just couldn't help it.

I don't know if the film will be good or bad or meh, but boy do they know how to cut trailers over there.

The saga with so little content that it barely began will end. But we've been very patient at dripfeeding our fan service (hey, it's 3PO and the blockade runner!) that we know you'll pay up anyway.

Watched the final trailer a few times...

... Sadly, even the Imperial Star Destroyer scenes are not raising my interest level, since I really don't care about what happens to the Sequel Trilogy characters.

The images, characters and dialogue did not move me.

The glorious John Williams score did.

The previous trailers for this did ramp up my excitement, but this - as stuffed as it is - left me oddly unmoved.
Weird.

Never thought I'll see horses riding on a star destroyer...except maybe in a nightmare.

Virtually all the comments for the trailer on Youtube are fixated on the line "the saga ends". Nobody's believing it, and of course Disney didn't intend it to be believed. But it's curious that a bit of hyperbole provoked such a strong cynicism.

Unfortunately, what Oliver said above, and the Star Destroyer breaking out of what appears to be an icy sea, just brought back memories of the FINAL YAMATO and YAMATO RESURRECTION anime movies to me (more like red flags, actually).
