I don't get this desire by various screenwriters to have Batman kill people. Did they miss the reason why he doesn't use guns?

Also, "I always thought Perez was trying to give Starfire hispanic features." Yes. GP's wife, like Perez himself, is Puerto Rican.

An example, perhaps, of that selective fidelity Hollywood loves to invoke when it suits their agenda.

***

"Let's go back to the days when Batman was basically just a Shadow rip-off before he became a distinctive character in his own right."

And that's more coherent and historically-informed and "intellectual" than what said Hollywood people were thinking.

Caught a few episodes of TITANS.... all the characters are dark, tortured and damaged.... thanks Zack Snyder! As a fan of the Wolfman & Perez series, I can't say this is a great representation of the characters... chances are it'll find a young audience that will embrace this needlessly reimagined version of the Titans.

I'll look forward to the spinoffs - Hawk & Dove plus Doom Patrol.

-C!

So the guy who plays ‘Hawk’ has an opinion about Titans and Infinity War.

Someone should sit him down....

From the sounds of things, I'll stick with my Wolfman & Perez issues instead.

I watched a few clips on YouTube. It's every bit as awful as you think it is. And more. I just don't get how DC/Warner can't figure out that grim and gritty isn't working for them. Especially when they can easily see Marvel succeeding with Spider-Man, GOTG, and Black Panther.

Daredevil Season 3 is EVERYTHING the new Titans series wants to be....but can’t.

Titans has promise but it’s so busy trying to be edgy.  You can tell every time they drop and F bomb needlessly.

3 seasons of Daredevil (or any of the Netflix/Marvel shows to date) and not a single F bomb.  How did they ever manage to restrain themselves?

Just started watching this. It gets a few things right and the pacing isn't bad but what a needlessly mean spirited show.

I couldn't get through the first episode. It started out all right with Rachel Roth having a very bad day, but then as soon as it had Dick Grayson being all badass and slicing up criminals with his razorangs it lost me.

I fell in love with the 60s Filmation Titans which was a silly, reasonable alternative to the great 60s comics. They were fun, exciting, not dark. The 80s comic was terrific - George and Marv hit a home run. It was more complex, but still fun. The TV show - too dark. Why does everything have to be dark? The "creators" follow a template of every other superhero movie and show, including the same costume designs, and it's just overdone. Not the Titans I knew, the old or the "new." If you like the Titans, go look up the cartoon on YouTube, Cardy!!! or the god Perez.
