But I think it goes in this forum because what impressed me is the film is about a young woman on the autism spectrum who is obsessed with Star Trek. Though I'm much less knowledgeable than her about all things Trek, I found her identifying with Spock very interesting. People with Autism can be very much like Vulcans. Unemotional. Very logical.

Anyway, I just had to recommend this movie to all Trek fans!

I've been meaning to catch this.

In my last job, I managed some people who are on the spectrum. Most of them, and I don't think this is a coincidence, are serious Star Trek fans. And all of them are terrific human beings...they just happened to get a slightly different set of challenges than most of us.

Thank you, Ted. Speaking as someone on the spectrum I can say that a lot of neurotypical folk I meet are terrific human beings also.
